Private programs
Private online high schools are normally schools that offer the best quality of education but their services also follow much high price tags that many could not afford. These institutions are usually financed and owned by big corporations so that they can establish a more convenient and complete school facilities as far as online education. Normally, only the children of rich people and businessmen today are enrolled in private institutions because of the high tuition fees it collects from students as well as fees from laboratory and other school facility usage such as computers, libraries, and other services.

Public high schools
Online public high schools are government-operated learning institutions and they are offered for free in progressive countries of the world such as the US and European countries. The only problem you can get is that these free online schools of the government are not available in many areas. This is also understandable because the government may have only limited funds to finance online education. The program requires big funding that not all local government can afford to establish.

Charter schools
There are now charter schools that also offer online education for high schools but they are not reliable programs because they are available only in a few areas. Chartered schools are government-controlled schools and they are exempted from other laws existing. They also get their funding from the government and they cannot also easily improve their online facilities because of the lack of funds.

University's online high schools
There are now many universities in the US and in other progressive countries of the world that offer online high schools education nationwide. The problem in these schools is that they are imposing even stricter policies on student admissions. This means it's not easy to apply in these schools. Many schools of this kind are also profit-oriented that's why they are implementing strict rules and regulations so that they only accept students with no financial difficulties as far as education is concerned.
